6/25/13: BACK INTO THE LIGHT

What an ordeal that was. I never thought I would get out of the hospital this time, but the Doctor tells me we've got my meds balanced again and I'm fit to see the light of day. He's given me a 2 week supply of meds now to carry around. And I now know that exherting my powers for hours on end can lead to a system reaction that will put me on my back and immobile (frozen) for quite a while. Note to self: short bursts, stupid!

Now that I'm back on my feet, I'm immediately confronted with a mystery. Someone put flowers in my hospital room the night before I left and no one knows who it was. Better yet, they stole my medical chart, and that is bad. Very bad. The note said it was from a friend.

...

I went to my apartment and my mystery thief was here too. Nothing was taken, but my chart was on the coffee table with another note, saying my "friend" didn't know I wsa so sick -- he just thought I was crazy! That's hitting a bit close to home. I called the cops to get a fingerprint, but they got nothing. Green Lantern showed up and we talked for a bit, but he had little advice to give.

...

I'm at the bach now, and the air smells good. I've forgotten how much I liked the ocean. I miss swimming in it. I decided to get my mind off this person who stole my chart, but the moment I did, it came to me. I remember that little guy back at the hospital -- Jack Smyth. They called him Trapper Jack and he was so fast they had to knock him out with drugs just to keep him in one place. He always tried to play tag, steal things, be my friend when I really didn't want any friends. I never really got to know the guy, but he's the only one I can think of who might take an interest in me like this. They said he was a world class thief.

...

I tried the library to find out more about Trapper Jack and got nothing. Their computers couldn't take me. Then I asked a reporter, and he got me on the phone with another reporter from New York who told me Trapper Jack has superspeed and some kind of snare power. And he's at large, too. Escaped from the hospital the same time the Joker did. I confirmed it with that Mortimer guy at Alertforce.

So I've got a supervillain stalker, eh. I guess I'll have to figure out a way to get this guy back on his meds.
